Chroma Projects & Vault Virginia will present two separate exhibitions in our galleries.

      Opening on September 6th from 5:00 – 7:00PM

      In Chroma Projects Microspace

      Giselle Gautreau: Meridian Drift

      In Chroma Projects Microspace

In Meridian Drift, my collection of encaustic paintings, I explore the intricate relationship between landscapes and the visual language of maps. The landscape in my work is not only a source of visual inspiration but also a metaphor for the themes of loss, change, resilience, and adaptation that resonate deeply with me,” says Gautreau.

      In Vault Virginia’s Great Halls,
in affiliation with the Botanical Garden’s Art Show

      The Culture of the Earth

Cate West Zahl from The Culture of the Earth

The Culture of the earth includes artists Isabelle Abbot, Fenella Belle, Lee Halstead, and Cate West Zahl.
The Culture of the Earth‘s title is lifted from a quote by Thomas Jefferson: No occupation is so delightful to me as the culture of the earth, and no culture comparable to that of the garden.

The show is a celebration of the newly growing and blossoming Botanical Garden of the Piedmont with the intention of increasing awareness of the Botanical Garden’s current creative programming and future vision.

Meridian Drift continues until the end of September, The Culture of the Earth extends through the fall. The galleries are open for viewing weekdays from 10-4 For questions or a private viewing, please contact Deborah at artlab@chromaprojects.com
